Aunt Sis I like that I select an item and you ship it to the Birthday Girl..feel bad it's not wrapped-can you do gift wrapping reasonably?

RW My 2.5 year old daughter grabbed this and kept saying, "open this, open this, open this." We opened it as soon as we got home, and she was already playing with it before we assembled the toy. It comes with a few pieces that you put together - one piece had a lil mole where you can push to the "ground" and it comes up again... reminds me of that arcade wack a mole game.

Once assembled (you need 3 AA batteries) and such, both my daughter and my 8.5 month old son were playing with it. The daughter didn't appreciate the son's company at first, but she later accepted that he wanted to play with the toy with her. She was taking the flower shapes out and putting them back in. They each have their base shape (triangle, circle, and square) and their base color (purple, red, orange), and it says the shape or color when you lift it up and place it back into its place. There's also a bee, a mole, and 2 worms to push. The noises may sound very quiet if there's other noises going on, but it's perfect in a semi-quiet apartment.

There are a few fruits and flowers with velcro that you can place on the felt butterfly background. It's very beautiful! The 8.5 month old loved to pull them off the felt, and the 2.5 year old loved placing them back on. Most cutey toys I've seen of the like contain sweets, such as candies and cupcakes. Sure, those sweets are super adorable, but I love that Little Tykes is using gardening and fruit for this concept.

There is a flower mirror on one side, and unfortunately, it does come off easily, but it's meant to come off and put back on. Motor skills???

Overall, this is a nice playmat toy. Lots of potential to learn - practice motor skills, shapes, matching, vocab, etc. The original price of $40 does seem high, especially since it doesn't come with batteries (at least mine didn't), but most places had it for sale (including Toys R Us for $27-$28), which isn't a bad price.

kristen21 When we received this as a gift, my 2.5 year old son couldn't wait to get it open. As soon as we put it together he immediately started playing with the toy hose and "watering" the plants. He loves to help his daddy with the gardening so this was perfect. I also love that this toy tell the colors and shapes of the little toys that go in and out of the slots. Whenever he plays with them he repeats the shape name or color. My almost 10 month old daughter loves this toy as well. She loves the light up features and the sounds that it makes. Needless to say we are very pleased with this product.

PunkysMom We received this as a gift and my 8mo loves it!  She is obsessed with pulling the velcro clings off the wall and the 'veggies' out of the ground (and chewing on them of course).  The little mirror on the side doesn't stay on very well but I'm not sure if this is intentional since my daughter loves pulling it off and playing with it.  Ours does speak English, unlike the other review, but ours was a gift so I don't know where it was purchased.

jenj33 My 2 and half year old son really enjoyed playing with this toy. He loves bugs, plants and being outside so he thought it was fun 'watering' the plants and hearing the fund sounds. I really like that it's a simple toy, but works on his fine motor skills with the velcro pieces and the "plants". It was great to watch him find the right shapes! Overall a really cute and fun toy for little ones.

Jen Mom of 2 My 2.5 year old son really enjoyed this toy. He loves bugs and being outside so he loved 'watering' the plants and seeing all the little critters. I like that it works on his fine motor skills when he puts the velcro pieces on and off and that he's working with shapes when he's 'planting'. It's a simple, but fun and interactive toy!

AQsMom Have not used product, as we put it up for a gift; however, we are very pleased with the value of this substantial activity-toy for the money! Will make a great Christmas gift! We have recommended it to many friends via social media.

Marz No where in the description does it say that the product speaks any language other than English; however when my god-daughter received it the product speaks only in French....I would not have ordered it if I had know that before...
